Well, its completly not obvious to me why he simply didnt buy one himself
Christian Wulff used during his time as prime of lower Saxony a portable which belonged to a firm of the Wulff-intimate Groenewold. A corresponding report of German welt.de was confirmed by Groenewold's lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser on friday questioned by FOCUS.
A contract was signed for temporary transition (something like a leasing contract I guess). Its dated 26.10.2005. According to the contract, Wulff will pay for the costs himself. "Wulff signed a transaction after incoming of the phone bill about the costs listed in it towards the account of Groenewold."
The contract for the Nokia phone ran according to Moser for a year. The bill sums for the timespan amount to 931 euro brutto. While the costs amounted 200 euros in 2 months, instead Wulff used the portable in the last months hardly and only paid the usage fee amounting to 20 euro.
