Es herrscht Untergangsstimmung im Lager Berlusconi. Einstige Verbündete gehen reihenweise von der Fahne, der italienische Premierminister versucht verzweifelt, die letzten Getreuen um sich zu scharen. Aufgeben will er nicht, denn er hat mehr zu verlieren als nur die politische Macht - ohne den Schutz des Amtes könnte Berlusconi den Rest seines Lebens hinter Gittern verbringen.

There's the mood of armageddon in the camp of Berlusconi. Former companions desert the camp in masses, the Italian prime tries desperately to summon the last confidants around him. He doesn't like to surrender, because he is about to loose more than just political might - without the protection of the office, Berlusconi is threatened by lifelong jail.

Wer in den letzten Monaten zum wankenden Silvio Berlusconi überlief, wurde sofort Vize-Minister, von denen es in Italien bald mehr gibt als Regionen. Und immer wieder Geld, Geld, Geld.

Das italienische Wahlrecht, erfunden von Berlusconi-Getreuen, kennt keine Wahlkreise mehr, keine Direktwahl, keine Erstellung von Wahllisten per Urwahl: Es gibt, wie im Faschismus, nur eine nationale unveränderliche Liste, da ist nicht zu streichen, und die stellt nur einer zusammen: Der Chef selber. Und dennoch, trotz alledem: 26 Abgeordnete von Berlusconis "Partei der Freiheit" gelten als mögliche Abtrünnige. Wollen die Hand beißen, die sie jahrelang gefüttert hat. Berlusconi ist nicht deprimiert, er schäumt vor Wut. Er kann es nicht fassen. Alle Meldungen aus seiner Nähe berichten von einem Mann, der in seinem "Bunker" im Palazzo Grazioli in Rom die Treuen empfängt, um eine Gegenstrategie zu entwickeln, um auf Entsatz, Berlusconis Armee Wenck, zu hoffen.

The Italian election law , invented by Berlusconi confidants, doesn' t know election districts anymore, no direct voting, no compilation of party (candidate) lists (through party internal) voting: There is, like in fascism, only 1 national, unchangeable list, where nothing can be crossed out, and the list is only assembled by 1 person: the chief himself (who is Berlusconi). Still though, minding the crap: There are 26 renegades from Berlusconi's party of libertarian people for Italy . Berlusconi is not depressed, he is enraged. He cannot believe it. Nun rebellieren also auch die Angestellten, Blut von seinem Blute.
