For a record sum
The ECB uses divisive means concerning the debt crisis: it buys state bonds of broke Euro-states and pays billions for it. The ECB has by it bonds amounting to 96 bio € in its books, foremost Greek, Portuguise and Irish bonds.
The European Central Bank (ECB) comes to grips for Italy and Spain with a high sum: It bought recently state bonds for 22bio € how the ECB communicated on monday in Frankfurt - more than ever. The bonds now total 96bio € in its balance sheet. Which bonds were bought and which deals were done wasn't said. Experts assume though that these were bonds of Italy and Spain. Traders reported in the past days that the ECB was busy in favor of the respective countries.
