Donald Trump's sudden and unexpected decision to exit the presidential race this week left the Republican field with a Volkswagen-sized hole, but thankfully, Newt Gingrich was ready to step in and fill it.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't indebted to Newt for selflessly providing comic relief in the form of an epically cartoonish statement to the press.
Surely he deserves all of the praise and glitter that's been showered upon him in the ensuing days.
In fact, if he keeps this up, the Republican nominating contest may turn out to be the greatest show on post-apocalyptic Earth.
MY POINT:



I don't know, in 2000 they really had a fat runup, with Bush and McCain and maybe Gingrich. Then Bush came, and he was too stupid. he couldnt stand competition. I don't know what for, whether he was an alcoholic or not, but I think he was busy to keep the rest of the party off. One of his best joke´s still K. Mehlman. Man, what I laughed about this guy. cuf cuf. Anyway. In 08 then, they had McCain , but, as said b4, everyone knew him from 2000. It was no big surprise and with the crash, things became too uncalculable for the repugs and McCain "with his brandnew stump speech" was instead pretty calculable (Stewart-Daily Show). Now, we got 2012, and we get the guy from 96, at best. Gingrich got no chance, if they like it or not. Let's say the Gingrich press release is received positive and people would like it. Even then he only got 1 of 1000. No Oussama, bad economy, bad ministers. So, where r the ministers and secretaries out of the Bush era running for president now? I can't see one. Rumsfeld running for president now? Obviously not. Bush1 was a child of Reagan and Bush2 and the Bushies shouldn't put it like they don't understand the problem.
