Vatican offers 3 reasons it's not liable for abuse

BLUB. not responsible. Thats politely a dull or bleak statement. ---to hold the Vatican accountable for all the priest sex abuse ever committed in this country,--- yah ah but trinity tells us father son and holy spirit. The father is responsible for what the son is doin. the son is the priest and the pope somehow represents god too.So what is the holy see doin? Proofin the inquisition to be insane? Well from my personal perspective, I can only appreciate the idea, but I guess the state attorney will be furious

GERMANY LATEST VICTIM OF PHONY GOLD BAR SCAM

Amid international accusations that U.S. officials in the Clinton administration replaced gold in Fort Knox with phony, mostly tungsten bars that were later shipped to China and other places yet unknown, a German refinery has now discovered that it has received a bogus “gold” bar as well. The video proof was shown on the German television station ProSieben that ran the news story covering W.C. Heraeus in Hanau, Germany, the world’s largest privately owned refinery. In the story, Wilfried Horner, head of the gold foundry, shows a 500-gram bar (16.0755 troy ounces) received from an unidentified bank. The bar had the right physical dimensions to be an authentic gold bar, but one of the Heraeus employees suspected something. After the bar was cut in half, the TV audience could plainly see that the dark insides were tungsten, with only a coating of gold on the outside. While the story never aired on American TV, it is available on the Internet.

Jim Hightower | OPENING UP THE FED'S SECRET WALL STREET BAILOUT

The Wall Street powers moan that mere mention of the fact that they had liquidity problems that needed to be plugged with two trillion taxpayer dollars would "stigmatize them." One Wall Streeter even called such revelations a "death sentance" for the giants, adding that disclosure of names would be cruelly punitive: "I don't see what public purpose is served by it," he huffed. Hello... bankers: It's our money! We The People have a right to know who failed and who we bailed out. This just shows, once again, that we consumers cannot trust the Fed, for it will always serve banker interests – not ours. Instead of giving it more consumer authority, as some in Congress are proposing, all of its watchdog powers should go to a totally-independent consumer agency located outside the Fed.

Pope accused directly of abuse coverup

Pope Benedict was today accused of being involved in the mishandling of the case of a child-abusing priest in his former archdiocese of Munich, an allegation which directly links him to the burgeoning scandal in the Catholic church.

The accusation, which has been only partly denied by church representatives, cast a deep shadow over the pontiff's approaching visit to Britain. It also elicited heated protests from Roman Catholic leaders and Italian politicians.

Anyway, just regarding the poll, conservatives and lib dems lost 8.4% since the election. The main topic brought in by Westerwelle was social welfare. So, for the fact that Gabriel is currently playing oil-scheich in Ruhrgebiet, he isnt probably very responsible for the conservative drop in polls

Erdogan challenges Merkel

Turkish prime Erdogan spoke out again in favor of Turkish schools in Germany immediately ahead of the Turkey trip of chancellor Merkel.
He demanded additionally full EU membership of his country. The conservative-lib dem coalition reacted in refusal.

German chancellor Merkel and Turkish prime Erdogan will meet in Ankara on monday. Erdogan demanded in ZEIT a full membership of his country in the EU and repeated at the same time his earlier demand for introduction of Turkish high schools in Germany. Last was declined by conservative politicians forcefully in uproar.

Erdogan: We are already in talks for full membership. Theres no alternative for us. Merkel advertised instead a priviliged partnership on sunday for Turkey in the EU. This would ensure a tightening ofn relations but not a full membership.

(...)
Christ Social sec Dobrindt told Spiegel concerning the demand for Turkish high schools: Erdogan intends to have a tool for his political aims. "Such demands ahead of the visit of our chancellor Merkel are an agression."

German social dems will vote down constitution

The German Social Dems will vote with the conservatives and lib dems to allow mix-administrations in Germany. That means that federal level and municipalities can administer one institution in common.
The German constitutional court decided one year ago that it is unconstitutional to have federal level and municipalities administer social welfare in common. A task force was founded thus. After the social dems undertook sweeping changes to German welfare called Hartz IV they are now preparing for the constitutional overkill.

Germany: conservatives in crisis

The pressure on the conservatives mounts: a crisis summit in the chancellors office is supposed to lead conservatives and lib dems on the lane to success. The lib dems still want to have tax cuts, minister of finance and chancellor block this idea. Projects are searched that cost nothing.

The heads of conbservatives and lib dems looked for ways out of their popularity crisis shadowed by criticism of the German president and new debts at record level.
One aims at making decisions about election phase for the vote in NRW. The majority of the conservatives is crumbling in the most populous German state. The conservative president Coaler was very concerned in an interview of "Focus" about the image problem of the conservatives after bein in office for only some months.
Merkel said on saturday in Munster: There should be no place in NRW for experiments with an unclear outcome (what means I guess she doesnt like to have a coalition with the ecos).

Its great Coaler thinks tax cuts might be dangerous for a continued function of the state. I think its only obvious he likes a certain purpose as president. The recent helpless populist demands by Westerwelle and Kubicki were yet another proof that u can create your own populist jungle and then u get eaten in it. I think its great Coaler doesnt like to have the train derouted. In effect its still a bit unstringent what he says. I dont get this debt-driven consumption thing. I think either u got money or u dont got money. Debts start when u need new money. Germany doesnt need new money right now. Its only the case that Westerwelle tried to hide his disperformance by tax cuts. Coaler doesnt root the problem. As always.

Germany:lib dems: Kubicki: Westerwelle will be gone soon

Do u know darth Vader? The knight out of Star Wars who changed to the dark side and then fought the own people? Currently, Mr Kubicki is behaving as well. First the attack against Seehofer that his family planning doesnt work. Now he is firing the discussion around party head Westerwelle. Westerwelle will be party head only for a transition time. Successor should be minister for health Roessler and general sec Lindner. He attacked lib dem head for NRW Pinkwart as well out of a sudden: "Pinkwart got no ass in his trousers."Though not long ago he congratulated Pinkwart after he got reelected as NRW head with a sms: We will win the NRW vote together. Thats a strange interpretation of together said the guys around Pinkwart. Kubicki hasnt reacted yet who is sufferin at current from a flu.Though his speaker said:"Speaks for itself."
Koch-Mehrin refused the attacks also: Concerning Pinkwart she said: "You know, Moellemann was the closest friend of Kubicki. "And he committed suicide.
Kubicki defended himself with:"Everyone who read it liked it." He opposed tax cuts as well: Make tax laws easier at first.

Germany: News out of thew Coocoo's nest: dangerous walking on the limit

In total, political life is boring. The taste stimulates mostly only the selfish Self-Profilers, especially those, who drive on the wrong side of the road. We can present two grand examples today:
Appearance: Wolfgang Kubicki, lib dem faction head in Schleswig-Holstein. He hopes for a good result in the NRW-vote of his party. 'Cause in this case, he broke news to ZEIT, we can finally reap mommy. Chancellor Merkel "needs a warm winter-jacket by then." Cause: "We dont stick to cuddle-hug-course agreements, which aren't obeyed by the other side for long." Kubicki announces also the final attack against conservative Christ Social secretary Dobrindt of Bavaria: "Fire from anybody" and hit it 'till "the crust's crushed." Kubicki obviously triggers then the party-top of the Christ Socials also, because the testosteron foams so nicely. "Seehofer was only opposing the per-head-fee in the health care system, because he produced too many children by now and he would drive himself into bankruptcy thus." Funny, ehhh????
Dobrindt doesnt think so. He called Kubicki a "Seasonal maniac" (at the start of a season like spring uttering his opinion), whose brain got impacted by the pig flu especially hard. The lib dems could only be ashamed by this man. Not very nice also.
Besides, Mr Kubicki thinks, that, if he lived in Berlin, he would obey to alcolism. Or he became a huzzler. With the whores. But his most favored job is German minister for finance. A commentary by Mr.Dobrindt is still missin on this. We expect it by the hour.

Panetta: Al-Quaida "Scrambling"

U.S. believes al Qaeda deadly, 'on run'

Washington (CNN) -- An intercepted message indicates some members of al Qaeda are looking to the group's founder for more visible leadership, a U.S. intelligence official told CNN Wednesday after CIA director Leon Panetta talked about the message in a newspaper interview.

Osama bin Laden is "rarely seen, rarely heard," the official said, and that is "troubling" to those who see him as their leader.

"There are strong indications that some al Qaeda terrorists would like Bin Laden to take a higher profile," the official said, adding that Panetta's comments in the Washington Post were referring to the al Qaeda core that is operating along the Pakistan/Afghanistan border.

Al Qaeda "is on the run, but still coming after us," the official said.

I mean the US govt. position on AL-Quaida is still insane:

In the year 2001, the Taleban had pretty much eradicated Opium cultivation and had blocked the Caspian Pipeline project. They were destorying future profits of the CIA and western oil companies.

The CIA knew it would be hard to sell the invasion and ousting of the Taleban, they couldn't really say they wanted to invade Afghanistan to reduce oil export costs from the middle-east and to resurrect opium production.

During the Summer of 2001, they made plans to topple the Taleban, that much was on-record and is documented... but they still needed to find a way to convince the general public that an invasion was necessary.

At this point they had already received intel (anyone remember Wesley Clark raising the issue of the intel warnings that seemed to be ignored?!) to suggest that Osama Bin Laden was intending to attack the US. Now all they had to do was sit back and let it happen, associate Bin Laden with the Taleban in Afghanistan (ignoring that he is a Saud and ignoring that he was in a Pakistani hospital under guard of Pakistan's ISI they day before 9/11) and they would have their reason.

Within months of this planning, the CIA's old database of Mujahadeen fighters (a database the CIA gave the name "Al-Qaeda" to) were about to be a feared name around the world, despite the fact that there never was a group of people officially calling themselves "Al-Qaeda".

Exactly how and why the attack credited to Bin Laden occurred at the exact same time as "war game" training drills occurred remains a mystery.

The funding of this and Mohammed Atta's involvement was ignored and deemed insignifant by the 9/11 Commission. It's also a mystery as to why this was the case, we know Atta was meeting several US officials/politicians in the days prior to 9/11 but beyond that, not much is known.

As for Iraq, you merely need to look at it's oil reserves and potential and the fact it had one of the larger military forces in the middle east... to understand why so many lies were made to justify invading it.

We were lied to by an (at-the-time) unelected president (at least unelected the first time and who knows with Diebold, etc. maybe the 2nd time too?) who was friends with the oil industry, banking cartels, CIA, etc. and whose family have been involved in planning coups, the central banking scam, theft from other people's savings and so on, deceived into a war that resulted in at least 100,000 documented civilian deaths (and probably hundreds of thousands of undocumented) and thousands of military deaths and millions of severe injuries... ALL BASED ON DECEPTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FEW.

Mankind got sites a mio years old

'Hobbit' Island Shows Signs of Ancient Civilization

(March 17) -- In 2005, archaeologist Adam Brumm was in the midst of a dig on the sweltering Indonesian island of Flores when he decided to embark on a midday walk. While the rest of the crew was napping to stay out of the heat, Brumm, from Australia's University of Wollongong, came across a large, deep gully and ventured down. "I found some stone tools lying around on the surface," he recalled. But these weren't just any tools. Brumm suspected they were very, very old. "I quickly realized the significance and brought the rest of the team back."

Now, after painstakingly excavating a section of the gully over several years, Brumm and his colleagues reveal in a new paper in the journal Nature that the site is indeed important. Their findings suggest that ancient humans occupied the island as long as 1 million years ago, or 120,000 years earlier than previously believed. The species that used these simple tools could be the ancestors of the famous so-called "hobbits of Flores," the tiny, small-brained species discovered there in 2003 and named after the little folk of the "Lord of the Rings" books.

The work has also overturned the going theory on what happened to certain species of animal life on the island and sparked new questions about when premodern humans actually reached Flores.

France: Fabius: Sarkozy didnt understand the conclusions out of the first tour

Laurent Fabius : "Sarkozy n'a pas compris le message du premier tour" 23

LEMONDE:What do u think of the alliance parti socialiste - europe eco? Do u think it'll work long after after this municipal vote?
FABIUS: Yes. They made rules among great conditions. They respected the general voting. The diffrence of the diffrent parties is bein respected and at the same time they stormed to the first spot. The compromise they found is useful. Thus they got the dynamics. Nonetheless they need to chase perfection after the election too. There are common values and the necessity for unity.
LEMONDE:
How do u analyze the results of the first round? How do u explain the right stalled?

FABIUS:FIRST UP, a general remark: Sarkozy couldnt carry the msg of the first tour and he needs to PRIME during the second round.

Revenons sur le premier tour. Un mot d'abord sur l'abstention. Lets get back to the first round: A remark about the high abstention. Noone knows our municipal institutions. thus one has to seperate the municipal vote and the sector vote. If not thats a defiance of the efficency of politics multiplied by presidential promises and the results of presidential action. Obviously, most incidents influencing the outcome were badly placed(, id est I guess returning bruni by jet from Thailand) thus this high abstention.

Revealed: Ashcroft, Rumsfeld warned 9/11 Commission about 'line' it 'should not cross'
Senior Bush administration officials sternly cautioned the 9/11 Commission against probing too deeply into the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, according to a document recently obtained by the ACLU.

The notification came in a letter dated January 6, 2004, addressed by Attorney General John Ashcroft, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and CIA Director George J. Tenet. The ACLU described it as a fax sent by David Addington, then-counsel to former vice president Dick Cheney.

In the message, the officials denied the bipartisan commission's request to question terrorist detainees, informing its two senior-most members that doing so would "cross" a "line" and obstruct the administration's ability to protect the nation.

"In response to the Commission's expansive requests for access to secrets, the executive branch has provided such access in full cooperation," the letter read. "There is, however, a line that the Commission should not cross -- the line separating the Commission's proper inquiry into the September 11, 2001 attacks from interference with the Government's ability to safeguard the national security, including protection of Americans from future terrorist attacks."

The 9/11 Commission, officially called the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, was formed by President Bush in November of 2002 "to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks" and to offer recommendations for preventing future attacks.

"The Commission staff's proposed participation in questioning of detainees would cross that line," the letter continued. "As the officers of the United States responsible for the law enforcement, defense and intelligence functions of the Government, we urge your Commission not to further pursue the proposed request to participate in the questioning of detainees."

FireDogLake's Marcy Wheeler speculates that this was an attempt by the Bush administration to ensure that its torture of certain detainees, which has since been widely documented, remained secret.

"[W]hoever made these annotations appears to have been most worried that Commission staff members could make independent judgments about the detainees and the interrogations," Wheeler wrote on her blog. The official "didn't want anyone to independently evaluate the interrogations conducted in the torture program."

Eventually, the commission's co-chairs harshly criticized the administration for having purportedly "destroyed" tapes of its interrogations with terror suspects, as Raw Story reported last year.

9/11 Commission members Thomas Kean and Lee H. Hamilton wrote that although US President George W. Bush had ordered all executive branch agencies to cooperate with the probe, "recent revelations that the CIA destroyed videotaped interrogations of Qaeda operatives leads us to conclude that the agency failed to respond to our lawful requests for information about the 9/11 plot."

"Those who knew about those videotapes — and did not tell us about them — obstructed our investigation."

They continued: “There could have been absolutely no doubt in the mind of anyone at the CIA — or the White House — of the commission’s interest in any and all information related to Qaeda detainees involved in the 9/11 plot.

"Yet no one in the administration ever told the commission of the existence of videotapes of detainee interrogations," Kean and Hamilton wrote.

Latvia-Germany-UK-SS

I mean its a total joke anyway because Hitler simply cheated them to Moscow with the Hitler Stalin pact. Hitler waffled a lot about him bein upright, but there, hes been some fancy asshole
But in a British election season, the notion of Latvia mourning Waffen-SS patriots has acquired extra potency after Conservative leader David Cameron's European alliance with the Riga politicians of the Fatherland and Freedom party (LNNK) who revere the collaborators in the belief, like Ozols, that the bigger enemy was Moscow and not Berlin.

The Obama Show

Whatever the ideology (professed or genuine) of a beltway pundit, you know they're past their sell-by date when they start carping about how the presidential show isn't as pleasing as it once was. It isn't there to entertain you or make you feel good about yourself, it's there to run the government and ideally advance good policy. Once you start thinking it's about whether it makes you feel happy inside, it's time to get another job like, say, a non-union janitorial position.

The command structure of the German armed forces is not transparent, theres friction everywhere, an totally overcome supply planning and much 2 much bureocracy.
The seperation of troops and administration has 2 b lifted.
The system is anti-flexible.
Furthermore the political will is missing to change a thing.

Sex-Affair around Christ Dem-worker

He's reported to have paid Bordell visits out of the party counter. It's the stuff film scripts are made of:

"Theres no limit to your phantasies in our whirlpools" - the club titles as such where Hebgen drove his party and himself into abyss.

Now that the fun became serious, Hebgen intends to narrate his story in front of court today. Finally, ' five other Christ Dem politicians joined him during his escapades in this bordelle in Berlin.'

The party members arent only fearful of the moral aspect of Hebgen's stories. It got a point in money terms also. 450000€ of the faction in Rhinania-Palpatinates parliament got used for the election campaign independent of the Bordell visits. This'd b illicit party financing. The conservatives would need to pay fines triple the times of the original "abused" money. This'd b a hard hit for the conservatives, cause there'll b elections in Rhinania Palpatinate in 2011.

Westerwelle discerns that criticism against him damages Germany

He didnt even speak even of a nation anymore but sublimed it directly to Germany. The man is a fucking divider and he doesnt feel the fucking necessity anymore to seperate. He simply declares his opponents "UNGERMAN." Because Im blond and blue eyed 2 and I feel anyway nerved by this urin-command Westerwelle, I just can express my utter disgust about this racist statement.
I mean the man is in office for 1/2 a year. It surely isnt the case u punch of a celebrity in historic terms of the socket yet measuring the performance he delivered yet.
Furthermore, the only nazi-counterpart he can present in historic terms is Ribbentrop and that again is the Hitler-Stalin pact. I dont know what the problem of this man is but he can lick my sorry ass.
Despite, he didnt return from Moscow, but he returned from Copa Cabana. OK, he wasnt on Mallorca, but still, its nefarious and insidious to speak of a defamation citing his last trip.

'Mission: Impossible' star Peter Graves dies in LA

Hell, what u expect for 180 days holiday a year, Mr.Rove?

Besides, when we squared off, I kicked his ass. Well, my candidate kicked his candidate’s ass. In 1991, Rove worked for Attorney General Dick Thornburgh in a Senate race against my client, Harris Wofford. Thornburgh was a popular two-term governor; Wofford had been an adviser to Martin Luther King and an aide to John F. Kennedy, but he had never been elected dog catcher. Rove’s guy started out 47 points ahead. He had the support of the then-popular President George H.W. Bush, tons of money, and Roger Ailes making his ads. Yet Harris Wofford beat Rove and Ailes by 10 points. So I never saw Rove as some master of the dark arts, possessed of unbeatable mojo.

The government is especially sensitive to reports of drug-war violence in tourist destinations such as Acapulco and Cancun.

Germany:Lib Dems think their systemic failures can be equalized with the failure to stop the criticism vs the lib dems

Now, I think it's only obvious that their pile of corruption doesn't guarantee the smooth stop of criticism against the lib dems. I don't know - what do they expect? They are corrupt. Totally corrupt. And obscene. You play the tough tax cut scenario during the election campaign and suddenly you go: the other kids mock me thus. Bahahaha. Everybody back to kindergarten? They harmed the democracy thru tax cut populism. Now they want the democracy to save them. At least they think the democracy is harmed as such thru the criticism against them. I think its a total perversion of perspective.

NYC SETTLES! 9/11 HEROES GET MILLIONS

So-viewing last thread-what happened in 2009 in Germany at the genral election?

So-Westerwelle was the tax cut spoongo. And - he had some mighty friends! Perhaps some Italians who were pretty eager that the German reputation for fiscal discipline doesnt become too big. So - he was probably using up Berlusconis special offer. And stupid fascinated Steinmeier marvelled - 'well, hehe, somehow left - and offered Westerwelle cooperation 1 week ahead of the election. But Westerwelle couldnt accept - because Berlusconi made prbably a party bound offer. So, Steinmeier threw out the "fiscal discipline points' Steibrueck and Eichel worked for very hard - out the window. At the same time he was total embarassing because he got declined. Double minus. WEell, all this again didnt happen far off the Eyes of Lafontaine - a little French speaker in Saarland. So, Steinmeier wasnt only a total failure - he had many ears that heard well next to the loop out of Rome and Westerwelle and himself perhaps.
