Merkel's visit to Afghanistan was overshadowed by a German soldier committing involuntary suicide. Merkel spoke of a tragic accident.


German chancellor Angela Merkel spoke during a troop visit in Afghanistan in Kundus of "WAR." "We are not only having war-like conditions here,but are involved in combat in such a way what only occurs in war. That is a totally new experience. We heard it from our parents during world war 2. But this was a totally different situation because Germany was aggressor back then."
