Now I have 2 defend Ratzinger - not very much - but I have to say: Zoellitsch, the head of Germanys bishop congregation, just visited the pope (in the name of the German Catholic Church) and - Ratzinger was not amused! OK, it could simply be that the news are sheer horror, so I dont want to defend him this much.
