Germany: Subway construction becomes a security issue in Dusseldorf also

My personal opinion about this disease is that it is all rooted in this fukking Thatcher privatization shit. In Cologne, you simply don't have a municipal construction oversight anymore, id est it has been privatized or outsourced. It's like that that the public transportation company KVB can oversight the construction, but surely it hasn't to many talented people, id est they surely have ticket comptrollers. So they can pay architects and so on to control it. But it costs money. This whole Thatcher dipshit that this will become anyhow cheaper thru competition is totally absurd when it comes to mega-projects. You need incorruptibles, otherwise you get ripped off.

There were recent news in Cologne that during subway construction there iron brackets were stolen from the construction site. The iron brackets are being used to stabilize the concrete walls which run as much as 40 meters deep into the ground. One wall collapsed in 2009. It was built in 2005. Above it, the town archive was positioned. It fell into the dig opened by the collapsing wall. The center of the investigations seems 2 b a construction foreman who is supposed 2 have sold the iron brackets to a recycling firm. Witnesses from the site confirmed that in the end only half of the brackets were used that were needed.
