Germany: leftparty summit

Lafontaine treated several tropics. He stressed that the costs for the crisis cannot be socialized while future gains of banks are dedicated to a handful of people.

Another topic was social dem's scholz who announced in march that there won't be an increase of fees every worker has to pay into retirement funds. Instead, the fee was lifted recently for about 19,9% effective from 2010. The average worker pays 200€ more. Scholz wanted furthermore a weekly working time of 75h. Anyway, Lafontaine decried mostly that retirement funds dont pay more, that workers laid off dont get unemployment after a short while anymore but only social welfare and that the hourly wage is low while the working time is extended permanently.
He decried tax cuts for rich. he said people like to mention that rich people pay a lot income tax. But instead, states most income results out of sales tax, fuel tax and other taxes.
Mass taxes make most of the money and tax paybacks on income tax reach often 100% with the very rich. So Lafontaine didnt like the burden on the average worker but wanted to see the load directed at the rich.

(Before the EU vote) A party advertised with a woman (Koch Mehrin) who is mainly reknown for her absence in the European parliament with the text "work has to pay again."
A party, that declines the minimum wage! A party where bonework's taxed higher than bankers income what should be taxed with 25 percent according 2 the lib dems.

We want a lift of the maximum tax rate to 43% (for bankers and so on).
We want to kill cold progression! (It cant be like this that) with a small wage u pay a higher percantage of your income as taxes than (thru tax paybacks) rich people.

people who waffled for years about empty state accounts and suddenly got 480bio euros for bankrupt banks (and regard 540 € social welfare as immoral) only show in whose duty they do their job.
