German exports drop by 21%

Deutschlands Exporte brechen um 21 Prozent ein

Wiesbaden (AP) Die Ausfuhren des Exportweltmeisters Deutschland sind im ersten Quartal wegen der weltweiten Rezession um 21,2 Prozent eingebrochen. Nach Angaben des Statistischen Bundesamtes vom Dienstag wurden nur noch Waren im Wert von 199,0 Milliarden Euro ausgeführt. Überdurchschnittlich stark war der Rückgang mit 38,7 Prozent bei Exporten in die Türkei und nach Russland mit 31,4 Prozent. Die Versendungen in die USA verringerten sich um 26,4 Prozent. Vergleichsweise gut liefen die Ausfuhren nach China mit minus 3,3 Prozent, in die Schweiz mit minus 7,3 und nach Indien mit minus 8 Prozent. In die EU gingen Waren im Wert von 127,3 Milliarden Euro, ein Rückgang von 22 Prozent.
