Germany: Steinbrueck under fire

For his remarks about tax havens criticism is raining down on German minister of finance Peer Steinbrueck. Politicians out of conservatives and lib dems accused him of an unbearable behaviour and demand an apology from the minister of finance.

The eco Trittin as well as the social dem party head Muentefering defended Steinbrueck.
Steinbrueck put the tax havens Luxemburg and Austria and Switzerland into context with
Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. This caused anger especially in Luxemburg. "There is no opportunity now for anyone in Switzerland or Austria or Luxemburg 2 feel insulted right now" eco candidate Trittin said on ntv.
