Camp Liberty's Stress Center seems to have certain downsides

aol
SHERMAN, Texas (May 12) – The Army sergeant accused of killing five fellow soldiers in Iraq was typically not a violent person, but counselors "broke" him before the gunfire erupted in a military stress center, his father said Tuesday. Wilburn Russell, 73, told reporters that his son, Sgt. John M. Russell, was treated poorly at the stress center and had e-mailed his wife calling two recent days the worst in his life.
"I hate what that boy did," said the elder Russell, speaking in front of the two-story suburban home his son is buying with his wife. "He thought it was justified. That's never a solution."

the military does push(and i don't mean in a motivational way) its soldiers. when you are deployed in a dangerous area it gets harder to sleep harder to eat and harder to concentrate on anything other than defense. It was long practiced to send soldiers in shorter 6-9 month deployments but since around 2002 i noticed we were getting longer deployments and it makes it difficult cause not only does the risk go up but family life deteriorates and stress is'nt released properly. In the military there is also a different world that you can get sucked into by either pissing off a senior NCO or any officer (though no fault in regulation or breach of military bearing) and once that happens they bring hell down on you until you have no options left but to snap. they break who they want when they want. I was an NCO and was ordered to break a few of my soldiers so they would leave ( I found ways of making it look as if i was following those orders and left as soon as I was allowed so they couldn't get me. Another thing is benefits setup by bureaucrats.... i lost all of my gibill funding because someone "lost records of payment and signature or agreement" and I was deployed in Kuwait not Iraq (although right on the border) and because i was literary about 30 feet from the border while working i am denied the same benefits sighed by congress
