Romania called on the EU to give financial support out of the crisis fund of the European Union. The commission will hold talks with the poorest EU country about financial aid, declared EU-economical-and-currency-administrator Joaqin Almunia in Bruxelles.
The remaining 15 bio € out of the pot for financial balance help were more than sufficient to support Romania, said Almunia.

Austria's minister of finance Joe Pröll demanded preceedingly that the crisis fund for countries that don't belong to the Euro-currency-zone should even be extended. This is not necessary said Almunia. "But if it is necessary, Im sure, the member states will agree."
