Top Republicans demand bankruptcy for GM

rawstory.com

I'm pretty estranged. After GM was a long time riding on the Repug-hypocrisy-train, advertising tons of Buicks and Firebirds for the 'very low gas price due to the Iraq war,' they get beaten now by the very creators of the Iraq war. That's below the average what Mr.McCain does and it is in fact not very national because foreign competitors will undoubtfully use the moment when GM appears weak to advertise their own products as something more reliable. McCain endangers thousands of jobs. It will take a while to renegotiate working contracts and so on. I doubt GM got the time for it. I think it would serve GM best to nationalize substantial parts. Ronald Cook of Hessia,Germany (there is a GM plant) said something heading my direction: He said talk is cheap. Instead, he believes any further damage to the reputation of GM may carry unbearable consequences, especially a prolonged bankruptcy trial. I mean hes a conservative also. But I think Mr McCain got meanwhile eaten by his culture of greed and antisocial antithesis production. McCain is only busy to have another antithesis followed. wheres the proof? what is this nuthole trying to prove anyway? That people will buy eco-friendly Japanese cars instead? Fuk Bush didn't sign Kyoto. its their goddamn failure that US cars wont be bought for a while. So carry the consequences and nationalize GM. Create some future for the people who work there. This inexcusable "I dont need to care for my noble position within the GOP" is a bit outdated. These people caused 1 million dead Iraqis and 5000 dead US troops. And yes US troops WILL return from Iraq. So where will they work Mr.McCain? McDonalds? So finally they can sell hamburgers and cheeseburgers to each other for being in combat for five year? 60 years of NATO huh? A bit too hillarious for me.

Two top Republican senators called Sunday for struggling General Motors to seek bankruptcy rather than fresh government aid as the best path to a long-term recovery by America's biggest carmaker.

"I think the best thing that could probably happen to General Motors, in my view, is they go into Chapter 11," John McCain, President Barack Obama's vanquished foe in last year's election, told "Fox News Sunday."

"They reorganize, they renegotiate their union-management contracts and come out of it a stronger, better, leaner and more competitive automotive industry," he said.
