No one could have predicted that the archetects of the modern, global, neo-liberal economy that screwed up everything (and who, when at the World Bank, IMF, etc., made sure that countries in trouble would do things that made their economic crises worse) would screw up the government's response to our current economic crisis.My fear is that what these people are doing is so close to stereotypes about Jews in positions of power that it'll stir up anti-Semitism. Maybe all those people expressing concerns about whether Obama would be good for us Jews were right after all ... who knew that Obama would pick a bunch of has-been "neo-liberals" to ru(i)n his economic policy.Of course, to echo a previous post by Prof. Atrios, the GOP will certainly run against Geithner, et al., in 2010. They can blame neo-liberalism and hence blame liberalism. It's perfect for them.

I mean whats your problem guys? U knew in 2008 when all of u favored Obama against Clinton that he'll be on a righter track than Clinton. Where the heck is the joke? The reaction to the response mixes up with the response. U knew this in advance.

I mean the heck will be nationalized in 5 minutes. And what Geithner did was in fact that he nationalized it in 5 minutes. That wasnt liberul but far lefter. Ok, now hes an asshole for it. But what would have happened if the crisis had eased faster? Hed be ripped by McCain.
