Germany: conservatives are fighting for party position

Angela Merkel is currently experiencing an unusual situation as German chancellor.
Exactly at the start of super-election year 2009 the christ dems discover their lust for fighting and Merkel is suddenly herself in the centre of the criticism. A situation that was till now limited to the social dems. 'Moving to the left' and a 'lack of economical profile' are the accusations vs the German chancellor, which are gaining some strange own dynamics while the christ dems suffer from ever falling polls and the lib dems got sky-high numbers.

The conservatives are now facing the same effect that the social dems faced: the grand coalition forces both parties to compromises in the mid, the rims are crumbling. Small parties are profiting, the leftparty on the left, the lib dems on the right.

Like the social dems, the christ dems are now also heading towards a discussion for the poll-number-dale,which will eventually damage the party and the head of the party.
