G20: Ive been at the demo in Franfurt

G20 protesters go on the march in London

Well, first up, the number of the police given is too low. There weren't 10000 but at least 15000. Many flags could be seen, for example SAV, www.rebell.info, MLPD, DKP,many leftparty flags,verdi,IGM,cgt. For my total frustration, there wasnt one fucking German Social democratic flag, only some 30 Jusos (youth) were protesting. This party turns more and more into a nullified, numb joke.

The demo itself went extremely well. We first met at Bockenheimer, then we marched to Commerzbank, then we passed the former Bundesrechnungshof and finally we got to Römer.
Somewhere between Commerzbank and Bundesrechnungshof it turned a bit dangerous for me. I stood next to some guy who shouted "glory and fame for the red army" waving an USSR flag in front of 40 helmed German riot police. But nothing happened. Anyway, generally it was fun.
