The black-yellow government of Northrhinia-Westphalia suffered its worst defeat in its 4 years in office. They were caught in the act when trying to manipulate an election date in their favor. The guilty guy was picked fast by governing christ dems: minister of interior Wolf is the one with the stained shirt. With long fingers one points at the lib dem man out of christ dem prime's office and out of the christ dem faction. This is plausible from many perspectives: the law was made in WOlf's office but he stayed absent from court and had others fight for his matter. But in the end its nothing but Christ Dem hypocrisy: eventually it was christ dem general secretary Wüst who brought up the idea to couple the election date for the local vote with the EU vote. The earlier date was picked because German federal elections in sep attract more voters. Thus the right government picked the june date of the EU vote. They were corrected by court and they got an extra-lesson in democracy. Now the NRW-government denies renewdly to couple the federal election (27 sep) with the local election (30 aug). This is brazen because the earlier date will cost NRW-cities 42 mio euros.

The economy in NRW is deterioating. This makes it impossible for Ruettgers to present a deficit-free budget for the local elections on aug30. Among other things, there was the political amok run of Mulheims (Millhouse) candidate for mayor, that fueled the recent struggle.
