Pockets of despair

The absolute weakest point in Bushs speech were the pockets of despair in New Orleans. Its embarassing he had to mention it so long after the storm occured. The effort for reconstruction is too low. It didnt improve by Bush saying in the next sentence that he intends to place his soldiers all over the world. I guess they dont reconstruct New Orleans then.

Another weak point was the no child left behind act. Despite Bush insisted on improving skills thru no left behind, he didnt get into much of what he was investing into the program.

The start of the speech hinted at the reasons. Bush is mainly concerned about saving taxes. That means he doesnt like to collect taxes. Well, its surely important to oppose terrorists. But despite Al-Quaida, a state is also run by money. The stupid remark by Bush that people are free to send cheques to the IRS was more than superflous. He turns the US tax system into a circus and his successor will have some fun time to get to money.

Despite the spoongo show("mad the magazine") about taxes Bush didnt become too specific on how to create jobs. Furthermore his lame remarks on the housing market were totally insufficient. He didnt even try to connect the reconstruction effort in new Orleans to a new wave of entrepreneurship in this sector. His remarks are defatistic.

His debil remarks about Iraq were another minus. His opinion, that he gave the region new hope and that the region will be in better order than before, wasnt very serious I guess. He avoided to use words as shape or condition. That links back to this "pockets of despair in New Orleans."

Well Bush wasnt a content provider tonight. His meager remarks concerning Israel were lousy. I mean its nice he supports a bistate solution, but he didnt mention people flooding into Egypt.

His delusional mention of polar power instead of solar power was aniother Bush lapse.Im sure theres not too much power on the surface of Antarctica.

Well, many schemes were copied out of the Clinton years, especially concerning the foreign policy and CNN was eager to mention it. But the world has changed since then. It was Bush who didnt sign the Kyoto protocol. His 5 minute long essay about the great contracts the US is signing currently for the environment were a filler I guess. Bush knows well that he didnt do a fuck about the environment. He even mentioned himself pushing Russia and China to be more ecological. Well China and Russia never had the idea not to sign the Kyoto protocol if there wasnt Bush. Bush is a liar and he should take care he finds better fillers than the things he didnt do.

Well I guess he doesnt need to hold a SOTU anymore. Hillary Clinton was very happy today that she wouldnt have to endure the Bush crap show once more. Speaking of crap Bush mentioned that crops are obviously are very important export good for the US. Well I guess there are cars and semiconductors coming out of the US also. Bush speech wasnt sophisticated but lousy. He couldnt mention cars because his Iraq-war-13-liters-SUVS sell bad on the world market and because he invests the taxes he doesnt collect in arms the semiconductors got huge concurrence meanwhile.

Bush was eager to mention that he can now export his Iraq oil to Panama due to new trade contracts. Well Im sure they got a tanker fleet already.
