Schroder uttered that "this strange guy" Cook should keep his own front yard tidy before attacking others due to dirt. Schroder remarked that criminal acts with a nazi background rose by 10% in 2007. "I've never heard Merkel and Cook talking about that."

Social dem head Beck also opposes more drastic youth laws. "One should talk about the handling of current laws. Everything else is foaming," Beck said during the opening of a 2-day long social dem board meeting in Hannover.

"There are no holes in current youth laws, only deficits in execution. One has to take care that (the youth) has the chance to attend eductional measures and education for a (later profession)."

Ahead of a christ dem board meeting on friday and saturday in Wiesbaden (Hessia) Beck uttered that it is concerning that Cook determines the agenda of the christ dems and not German chancellor Merkel.

During its 2-day meeting the board of the social dems wants to determine the path for the current year and it intends to discuss regional state elections in Lower Saxony and Hessia and Hamburg. The presiding board and the board are handling several discussion papers and papers for agreement.

In a 10-point program titled "Good Work," the social demand for a minimum wage covering (the whole area of ) Germany is being stressed.
A concept-paper for 'growth and employment' demands "remarkable rise in wage."
A further (thesis) paper handles further education and life-long learning.
