After welcomin Ghaddafi and touring Disneyland, Sarkozy is currently touring the Vatican
Sarkozy has been welcomed on thursday by pope Benedikt the 16th during his first visit as head of state in the Vatican. He was another one titled with the beneficiary title of "chanoine honoraire." All French presidents carried this title up to now. The title is connected (accompanied) to the the church Saint Jean de Latran.
Nicolas Sarkozy a été reçu jeudi par le pape Benoît XVI lors de sa première visite de chef d'Etat au Vatican où il devait recevoir en outre le titre de "chanoine honoraire" de la basilique de Saint-Jean-de-Latran, un privilège accordé à tous les présidents français.
