After an English teacher in Sudan was asked about whether one can name a teddy bear "Mohammed" by her pupils, she said that it is possible. Mohammed is a common name in Sudan. One can compare it to South America, where many kids carry "Jesus" as a name, mostly as a second name.
Furthermore, most kids hug their teddy bears, so its surely without negative implications. Now, bulldozing this innocence, Sudan condemned this teacher to 40 leashes.
This case reminds me strongly of the Saudi case, where a gang raped victim was condemned to 200 leashes for adultery and stirring media attention. Both verdicts are pretty much unreasonable by ratio.
