Cars that are out: mostly high consumption vehicles, some with aero-dynamic defficiencies
Ford SEP sales plummet
Well, everybody expected some revival of the 80s during Bush 2. Spend money, buy fuel. But it doesnt work like this this time. The Iraq war is expensive and its surely no proper means to lower the costs of fuel.
I dont know why American companies acted so naive. They knew Bush would break the Kyoto protocol. Their reputation is so deep in the sewer regarding ecology that it wont help much even if they start to build more fuel efficient vehicles right now. It served the reputation of Japanese and European companies that Bush broke the Kyoto protocol. Look at the preceeding thread about the north pole. The ice is melting fast. THis year, Africa was concerned by intense flooding. People will start questioning where the failures were made. And Bush jr is the ONE in the spotlight.
Ethanol plant construction slows
Another remarkably bad point is of course Bushs totally insufficient support of home based industry like ethanol producers becuase hes involved in the oil industry

Well its good that the ethanol plants slow down, since they are a waste. ADM gets richer, and resulting fuel is more expensive and has high carbon footprint. Corn sucks as biofuel. If we are going to get committed to improvement, lets leave the chimp in the dust and find innovators to lead.
